In an effort to avoid large gatherings during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic the 2020 "Paddle for a Purpose" is officially CANCELLED. We feel this decision is in the best interests of our supporters, participants, volunteers and organizing team - we care deeply about everyone's health, safety and well-being. This decision was not taken lightly. We still encourage you to enjoy kayaking on the beautiful St. Lawrence River this summer! All our best to you and your families.
Although we will not be gathering in person, we are able to offer you a way to stay engaged in supporting our local chapter's annual fundraising efforts. We welcome your donations, big or small, as we continue to fulfill our mission in the Hammond Community.

While Betterment has been hosting events in the Thousand Islands area for years, it is only recently that they decided to form a chapter in the Hammond/Chippewa Bay region. The Hammond Chapter was formed in October 2018, with continuation of the successful Paddle for a Purpose event.
