2017 Chippewa Bay Paddle for a Purpose Recipient

Located midway between the St. Lawrence River and Black Lake in northern NY, Hammond Presbyterian Church is a vital community of faith serving Christ with love, joy, peace, and hope.  the church is very active in community life and provides many social activities for residents and visitors to enjoy.  They realize that Hammond really lacks an outside gathering space, to be utilized by the townspeople and community members.  The previous pastor, who passed away recently due to brain cancer, had the vision and dream of building this community space.  In memory of Pastor Cathy, the Church formed a planning committee which met in April with many ideas on how to build this dream pavilion,  They are hosting a number of fundraisers to see this project through. The Foundation for Community Betterment donated funds to support this project as it will truly make an immediate difference and impact in our community for years to come.
