The Hammond Free Library is proud to serve the Hammond Community.  They provide not only traditional library services, but public computers, free WiFi, eBooks and even Ancestry.com!  With the change in funding by NYS, the Library is left to raise funds on their own for much needed books for children, adults and families.  Funds from this year's paddle went towards purchasing these needed books. (2019)

The Hammond Free Library supports a special mission for children and their parents through early literacy programs designed to encourage a love of reading and lifelong learning. The Library assures effective, expanding, free library service for the community and leads citizens in anticipating their future needs for library services.  The Hammond Public Library was looking to upgrade their TV software system to better serve the community. To do so, they needed to purchase a TV license that allowed educational movies and videos to be provided to the community's youth (K-12). Funds from the Immediate Need Fund went towards that license.
