The Alexandria Community Thrift Shop, located on Route 12, is in its final stages and is expected to be complete in September. The Thrift Shop is sponsored by the Council of Churches, has been in existence for eight years, and is totally run by volunteers. Betterment provided funds to purchase clothing racks and shopping carts before the new store opens.
