The Dupuy Family, Endicott, NY

2015 Binghamton Chapter Fund
Picture
Angel Dupuy was battling Ovarian Cancer and had completed the 4th of 6 Chemotherapy treatments. She was married to Jim Dupuy and was the mother of 3, Delaney (18), Bailey (15) and Desi (11). Shortly after the attached picture was taken in November of 2014, Angel was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer. (Middle in the picture with the black hair.) She taught at the Binghamton High School and had been unable to work for some time. Angel was traveling to New York City for her treatments at NY Presbyterian Hospital, which is roughly 3 hours away from the Binghamton area. She and Jim traveled to NYC 4-6 times per month for treatments and follow up visits. Most of the trips required an overnight stay in the city, parking, gas and added food expense. They had been doing this for the past 4 months and for the following 3 months. They were also seeking treatment from alternative health care providers which was also taking a toll on them financially. Lastly regarding their financial need, their daughter Delaney was entering her freshman year at the University of Buffalo so tuition payments were starting. A donation from Betterment helped with travel expenses.  Sadly, Angel lost her battle with Cancer in December 2015.
