Rick Taylor is a 47 year old member in our community who is in the midst of a serious medical condition that began August 2018. He is married and has two sons, one in college, and one graduating from high school. His wife Katie is a wonderful and very active teacher in our school and community.  Rick had complications from a hernia operation that led to Gastroparesis - the paralysis of the stomach, leading to not being able to digest food.  He has been unable to work due to his condition.  Rick had an appointment with the Cleveland Clinic to see about doing the nerve replacement.  The Alexandria Bay Chapter paid for the hotel stay while at the Cleveland clinic, along with payment of 2 months of mortgage and electric bills for the family.
