2021 Support Josh Shapera's Family Fund

After a liver transplant and a battle with leukemia, Alex's husband, Josh Shapera, passed away at the age of 49. He was a brilliant musician, record producer and audio engineer. He also taught audio engineering at Columbia College in Chicago and was loved by all of his students. He was a kind, exceptionally intelligent person, and he was well known for the vintage Josh "embrace" as he called it. Those who know Josh even in passing will always remember his warmth, his charisma, and his personality that filled the room. His passing not only leaves a void to all those friends, but he leaves behind his two young children, Levi and Sophie, and his wife Alex. Through the INF and a special fundraiser for the family, Betterment was able to pay for 1 month of mortgage and 1-1/2 months of childcare.
