Sarah Smith is a lifelong resident of Alexandria Bay.  She has raised 2 great kids as a single mother.  Sarah has been involved in the community much of her life, most of the time behind the scenes.  She has been referred to as one of the hardest working and most giving people who always puts other's needs first.  In December 2015, Sarah developed a brain bleed which left her in the hospital for some time.  Back at home, she is on blood thinners and seizure medication and is expected to have a long road to recovery.  Sarah is unable to work at this time or for the foreseeable future.  Donations from Betterment went to paying 8 months of Sarah's rent, so she could focus on her health.  Betterment helped again in 2018 with heating costs.
