River Post-Traumatic Stress Services (RPTSS) was founded in 2013 as a response to a growing community need for mental health services for combat veterans stationed at Fort Drum, New York. An essential component of many individuals' treatments at RPTSS is art therapy, including woodworking and sculpture. Many individuals find these methods to be a valuable way in which to illustrate thoughts and feelings in a three-dimensional way. Funds raised at the Community Betterment Weekend went towards basic woodworking and sculpture tools.
