Operation Smile launched Families 4 Families/Hampton Roads to help feed our neighbors facing a food shortage due to COVID-19.  During the launch event, 1200 meals (a week's worth of groceries for a family of 4) was delivered to 20 families. First, supporters purchased and assembled a week's worth of grocery staples for a family in need known as "Bag of Basics" with staple items for a family of 4.  Supporters then brought the assembled "Bag of Basics" to the designated drop-off point,  Last, the Families 4 Families team, made up of adults and student volunteers, delivered all donated bags to identified neighbors in need.  Funds raised went to supplying more "Bag of Basics" for identified families.
