Mary Jones, Canton, OH

2008 Canton Rocktoberfest Recipient

Mary was born permanently and severely disabled with a rare syndrome called "translocation between chromosomes 1 & 6". Her single mother had asked for a gift from Betterment to assist int he cost of building materials for a fence around their yard.  Funds raised at Rocktoberfest helped to build the fence that would allow 7 year old Mary to freely interact with others while increasing her physical development and self esteem.
