The Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry (LMM) helps people who are oppressed, forgotten, and hurting. The LMM's Cleveland homeless shelter serves more than 500 men per day, and hands out 400,000 meals annually. Our support will help the LMM finance two proposed community projects: a community garden two blocks from the shelter and transportation assistance for shelter residents. The ongoing garden project helps build relationships with residents, volunteers, and businesses in order to show the community the assets of the residents. Transportation assistance will provide to-and-from access for medical appointments, training classes and job interviews, all of which help the men live a healthy and self-sufficient life.
