This past February, at 5 years old, Liliana Cordova was was diagnosed with Pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Seven days later, she and her family received a second set of news. They were told that Liliana also had a rare subtype called Philadelphia Chromosome Positive (Ph+)ALL. The mutation is very uncommon in pediatric patients with a frequency of less than 5%. This subtype classifies Liliana as high risk. Liliana has been fighting her battle with this rare cancer with strength and courage. Her prognosis is good but she has been through difficult treatments that have taken their toll on her physically. Despite all she has been through, Liliana has remained positive and her family believes that she will beat this horrible disease.
