Jeremiah’s father, Lieutenant Colonel Terrence K. Crowe was killed in action in Iraq this spring, when the Iraqi troops he was leading came under fierce fire conditions. Terrence took a direct hit and died almost immediately. At the time of this incident, Terrence had finished his time with the Army and had volunteered to go back for one more tour in Iraq.
Jeremiah needed basic hockey essentials, including elbow pads, shin guards, skates, sticks and ice time fees. Betterment donated the funds to help with the costs of these expenses.
