2022 Canton Bash Recipient

A 2021 Memorial Day motorcycle ride turned tragic for Jeanne and her boyfriend. As they were riding down a country road, a pickup truck made a left turn in front of them, causing them to crash head-on with the truck. Sadly, Jeanne's boyfriend passed away at the scene and Jeanne was thrown through the air and was found critically injured several yards away from the crash site. She was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.  Jeanne is paralyzed from the chest down as a result of the accident. She has years of medical treatment and rehabilitation ahead of her but was recently cleared to move into a duplex on her own to begin to rebuild her life and independence.  Funds from Canton's Bash went towards providing hand controls to a new mobility van so Jeanne can gain some additional independence.
