This past June, Shannon had severe pain in her back and side that drove her into the emergency room. Sadly, doctors discovered cancer in her ribs and pelvis and within days she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer that had spread to those areas. Thankfully it had not spread into her brain or lymph nodes, so they are hoping, with rigorous treatment, she can fight it. Shannon began the long journey of radiation and hormone therapy treatment.  Betterment covered a portion of Shannon’s household bills.
