Helen Louise Thomas has lived in Alexandria Bay all of her life, is a single mom having raised a daughter, and is now helping to raise her two granddaughters. She has worked summers at James Street Station and also the Ship Motel as a chambermaid for several years. Helen has had one kidney, her gall bladder and appendix removed and now has cancer of the liver and second kidney and is unable to work at all. The immediate need fund paid her National Grid electric bill.
