Frank DeFranco, Cleveland, OH
2006 2nd Annual Cleveland Event Recipient
Frank DeFranco, a native to Little Italy, had always been very active in the community. Frank was a dedicated parishioner and involved at Holy Rosary Church in Little Italy. He served communion monthly to those at the Abbington Arms. He was known in his community for always helping everyone out. He assisted elderly with various household projects, often taking children in the area fishing, and assisted others with miscellaneous jobs.
In the midst of all of his good deeds, Frank unexpectedly lost his job due to his company’s downsizing. He also underwent triple bypass heart surgery and was unable to work for several months. Even with his health problems he was dedicated to helping those in the community – he was truly living the Foundation for Community Betterment mission, and we were happy to support him so he could get back on his feet.
