On July 3rd, Brock Peterson and his fiancé were enjoying a day on the water with friends when Brock sustained a spinal cord injury in a diving accident. Since his accident, Brock has endured some setbacks as well as months of therapy. Brock’s background as a professional baseball player shows that he will work as hard as possible to recover. Brock was actively engaged in various mentoring, coaching, and fitness activities with youth in Virginia Beach, as well as being involved with the non-profit organization Hampton Roads Avengers prior to his accident. Funds from various fundraisers in the VA Beach area went towards the purchase of a standing frame which will help in his road to recovery.
