2017 Alexandria Bay Immediate Need Fund Recipient

Ed Brady, a 28 year retired social service worker, focused on childhood protection services. Ed was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer 17 years ago. He had surgery known as the Whipple at John Hopkins. Recently he was diagnosed with stomach cancer due to the Whipple surgery. He returned to Baltimore for treatment. They went down April 12th for a two night stay and was not able to leave due to a pseudomonas infection. Things continued to get worse with Ed eventually being put on ventilation.  Ed’s wife Dorothy worked as a caregiver in private homes and was unable to work due to being there with him.  Sadly, Ed passed away in May.  Money from the Alex Bay INF went towards hotel and gas costs.
