The Alexandria Central School Back Pack Club was established in 2007 to provide food for students who were going without food or not getting enough food on the weekends.  There are approximately 40 students who take advantage of this program.   Due to the economic climate, it is no longer feasible for the Alexandria Bay Community to donate the requisite funding that is needed to sustain this program.   The donations from Betterment will assist in the funding of this program.
