Lorain Community Meals Program, Cleveland, OH
2009 Cleveland Black & White Ball Recipient
This program, run by the Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, serves 75-100 people per meal and provide meals three times a month for the hungry and homeless in the city of Lorain. All those who are involved with the program, from volunteers to those they serve, embody the idea of giving back. Funds raised at the Black and White ball helped purchase a commercial-grade refrigerator and freezer to house the meat and food donations received each month from food pantries, local businesses and other donors.
