Danica Snyder, Canton, OH
2010 3rd Annual Canton Rocktoberfest Recipient
Danica Snyder was 2-year-old who, as a result of multiple birth defects, had already endured a challenging life. She had a gap where most people's skulls are closed and her brain was forming on her spinal column. Her first brain surgery, a brain decompression, was no longer effective. In October, Danica underwent surgery in Cincinnati to help correct this problem. As a result of the surgery, she was in a cast from the waist up for three months leaving openings for her eyes, ears and mouth. The donation from the Canton Chapter assisted the Snyder family with travel expenses to and from Cincinnati.
